ATS COLLABORATES AND SPONSORS THE MAERSK LINE ANNUAL CHARITY FUNFAIR EVENT

The proceeds raised from the sale of these coupon booklets goes towards supporting the educational initiatives in Africa.

In UAE of 2012 is when Maersk Line embarked on the CSR journey. Something that started with modest steps and noble intentions today humbles us with its scale. The positive change that we have been able to bring about in the lives of the young African children serves as a constant encouragement and motivates us to do more. All of this has only been possible because of all our whole-hearted support from our sponsors and well-wishers.

From providing medical help to children orphaned by Ebola, to building two computers laboratory with the latest digital infrastructure for women in University of Zimbabwe, to equipping about 100 schools with solar panels in Burkina Faso it’s been a rewarding journey. Recently since 2016 -2017, the funds raised from all the support given have enabled the building of a school each in Mauritania and Sudan, which are now operational. Furthermore, we have committed to building four schools in Burkina Faso, the construction of which is now under progress.

The charity funfair was held on Feb 23^rd 2018, Zabeel Park, Gate 5 it witnessed a fun day of families being a part of this spirit of giving.
